Torche welcomes Conservative Response to Duncan's Comments.

Torche has welcomed the Conservative Party's response to Alan Duncan's confirmation that he is gay. Speaking today, James Davenport, Deputy Chairman of Torche, said:

'The reaction from right across the Conservative Party has been very positive. This was a typically courageous decision by a man who has been at the forefront of Conservative thinking for many years.

'There has been warm support for Mr Duncan from friends and colleagues; Torche would like to add its own. It goes to show that we are an open, decent and accepting party. The Conservative Party is changing.'
